Pilates is often referred to as the ‘thinking person’s workout’, encouraging you to harmoniously stimulate your brain and body. Based on the beautiful and unique method of exercise developed by Joseph Pilates, Matwork allows you to practise it anywhere at any time, utilising your body as resistance.
Every exercise designed by Joseph Pilates is governed by underlying principles: Concentration, Alignment, Centring, Breathing, Control, Precision, Isolation, Flowing movement, Routine, Integration.
As you begin to master the exercises, you will notice not only a change in your posture but also in the way you move. Your body and mind will be subconsciously applying the principles into your everyday life, allowing you to feel stronger, revitalised and more agile.
